Eric X. Li

Shanghai-based venture capitalist Eric X. Li gives keynotes comparing different political systems and governing methods. Li was born in Shanghai but received his university degree in America.

Eric X. Li is well-known for his support of the Chinese political system as opposed to democracies. Li has lived in both China and America and therefore has insight into the way both countries are governed. While Li believes that there is no one form of government that would work for every country, he believes democracy has flaws that the Chinese political system doesn't.

Li is founder of the Chengwei Capital, sits on the board of directors of China Europe International Business School and is also a fellow of the Aspen Institute.
