When Koplovitz founded the USA Network in 1977, she was the first woman to head a television network. Later, in 2002, Koplovitz authored a book titled 'Bold Women, Big Ideas.' The book was intended to inspire female entrepreneurs to create opportunity for wealth through equity. Koplovitz continues to speak on a variety of subjects, from women's leadership to capital formation to new media forms.
Currently, Koplovitz serves as the Chairman of the Board of Fifth & Pacific Companies. She also sits on the board for CA Technologies and ION media. In the past, she has been a part of boards for Instinet, Oracle, Nabisco and General Re.
